Julius von Freytag-Loringhoven is Head of the Baltic States for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, based in Vilnius, where his work focuses on security and defence, political cooperation and strengthening ties between the Baltic region and Germany. He previously served as the Foundation’s Head of Communications and led its offices in Jerusalem and Moscow, spending eight years responsible for its work in Russia and Central Asia. His career has spanned political strategy, communications and international affairs, with a particular focus on European security, liberal democracy and the political dynamics of Russia and its neighbourhood.
