Nastja is Slovenian and has dedicated her professional life to communicating Europe and the European Parliament to citizens. She has been passionate about improving its communication framework ever since – from websites to visitor experience, from elections campaigns to decentralised communication, her portfolio of communication expertise is vast. She has co-created several pan-European communication strategies and campaigns, yet some of her most cherished memories go back to her two terms heading Parliament’s liaison office in Slovenia. For her, connecting with people in their daily lives is vital to truly understanding what they want, expect, and need from the EU. Today, she leads the European Parliament’s social media team, a remarkable group of experts, responsible for the institution’s official digital presence on 12 platforms Combining data intelligence and public sentiment with a deep understanding of EU institutions, she enjoys navigating the complex intersection of political and institutional digital communication.
