About this session:
In 1991, Bruno Latour imagined a Parliament of Things: a political space in which humans and the non-human world could be represented within the same decision-making process. Thirty-five years on, a few pioneering experiments aside, the idea is still waiting to be put into practice. It leaves a practical question on the table: can collective decision-making scale without diluting representation? At CiviqHub, we are building a decision infrastructure to answer it. One shared grammar of Proposals, Votes, Arguments and Amendments keeps every position visible as deliberation grows. Agentic AI can extend that grammar by helping humans surface, structure and test forms of representation that would otherwise remain difficult to bring into the decision process.
